Annual Events
We have several annual events at the school that you may wish to take part in. Our aim is to offer students valuable performing experience and the chance to put into practice techniques learned in our classes.
Examinations
Exams can be taken in each class attended. Sessions are held twice a year in May and November. To qualify for exams and to maintain a high standard of Dance at the school, attendance is taken into account when qualifying a student for exams.
Theatre Scholarships
This event gives students the chance to show their aptitude in Ballet, Tap and Modern dance styles. The event is held at the Empress Ballroom, Winter Gardens in Blackpool. Students form all over the country compete and the standard is always very high. Students who attain excellent results in school exams are invited to compete in the Theatre Scholarships.
Christmas Show
Our Christmas show is the final event of the school year. The show is held at the Hippodrome Theatre where students can perform specially choreographed routines on stage. Theatre Lighting Effects and Sound add to the whole experience of being on stage and all students in the show are provided with costumes and props funded by the school.
The show is recorded by a professional video crew. High quality DVD and Videos are available to purchase after the event.
